Electronic visor infra red
detector to verify all major currencies for export
from Belgium

The Electronic Visor can be used to verify
all major currencies including the euro, US dollars, and pounds sterling.
It works by detecting the areas of the note which are designed to be
visible under infra-red light. These infra-red areas are known as IR
map-marks and are unique for each currency. The IR map-marks for the euro,
US dollars and sterling are included with the operating instructions; IR
map-marks for other currencies are available on request.
Infra-red detection is more secure than UV detection and does not impose
any health hazards to the operator (UV detection systems are now banned in
several countries). Due to the fact that several notes can be detected at
the same time, the Electronic Visor is ideal for use in high-volume cash
handling applications such as supermarkets, bars, pubs, betting shops,
casinos, banks etc.
One of the unique features of the Electronic Visor is the ability to site
the camera remotely from the monitor; this makes the unit ideal for use in
areas of restricted space such as supermarket check-outs.
Hitherto one of the main drawbacks of infra red detectors was the
relatively high cost of the initial investment. The low cost of the
Electronic Visor now makes infra red detection an affordable and
attractive alternative to UV detection. |
