We are a winegrower family for centuries. Our cellar and a part of our house was built in 1665 and the other part on 1775 Jean Bernard Weinzorn, his wife Odile and two sons David and Ludovic take care by themselves of the vineyard from the plantation of the vine to the bottling of our own wines. The area (ban) of Niedermorschwihr is 325 hectares (800 acres). The place is mentioned for the first time in 1148 as "Morsvilre" and belonged to the Abbey of Moutier - Granval. During the Middle Age period the village belonged to the Empire. The Malta Knights Order owned lands and properties there. The vine was present here as early as 1214. Our wines are quite different with those from Alsace major export companies who mixed grapes from any areas of Alsace. You can source with us the exact origin of any grape. May be we cannot supply Walmart but we can supply the worldwide actual good wines lovers. Visit us; you will meet the winegrower himself and not a sales department employee: that's probably one of the the good sides of tradition ... |
