Packing
The most common standard bag size is
50kg net weight, new polypropylene bag (120 grams). Other size bags (net 45kg, 25kg, 100lbs
and 50lbs w/o hand-carry) are available and might cost a little extra
premium.
Logistics
We ship rice mainly by containers 20'.
In this method, the rice which is already usually in polypropylene bags
would be loaded into 20' steel shipping container, 23-25 MT per container.
The whole container is then transferred to the vessel. Containerized rice is
becoming increasingly common as customers can buy smaller amount with less
physical handling.
Break-bulk shipment is only made for
large quantity order, minimum several thousands tonnes. Loading is generally
direct from the wharf or by use of small lighter ships or barges that transfer the rice from the wharf to the
vessel.
Delivery
CFR port of discharge (Incoterms 2000).
Shipment to commence within 3-4 weeks after receipt of approved L/C or T/T.
Inspection: SGS, Veritas or Vinacontrol
for quality, weight and tally.

confirmed L/C at sight to cover 100% invoice value to be opened within 5
