Processing of seeds for the production of fixed oils is a direct result from the demand for natural oils from organically grown seeds without rectification or fractionation for the soap, cosmetic and natural insecticide industries and others which need that the oil produced had to be original, genuine and in no way chemically treated. The seeds are wild or organically grown plantation collected in Togo Processing: cold press, solvent free The following specifications are only indicative and could undergo modifications Neem oil Azadirachta indica Chemical composition: 1500 ppm minimum azadiractin content Average composition in fatty acids Oleic acid 50 % Palmitic acid 18 % Stearic acid 15 % Linoleic acid 13 % Arachidic acid 2 % Organoleptic analysis Appearance Oily liquid Colour Opaque dark brown Odour Specific Physico-chemical characteristics Density at 20°C 0.920 - 0.940 Refractive index at 20°C 1.4750 - 1.4810 Acid value < 20.0 Iodine value 84 - 94 Supply period: from february to october Babaob seeds oil Adansonia digigata) Acid composition of seed oil: Oil = 15%. Moisture: 10% max Per 100 g, the seed is reported to contain 6.6 g H2O, 18.2 g protein, 38.0 g fat, 33.5 g total carbohydrate, 15.5 g fiber, and 4.5 g ash.. Oily liquid with a yellowish color The oil content is 35 – 40% in the seeds and 50 – 60% in the kernel. The oil contains 21% saturated fatty acids and 79% unsaturated fatty acids. There are some chemical elements in the seed which are poisonous and render the oil not appropriate for human consumption. The oil can be used as fuel in pre-combustion chamber engines and as lubricant, oil and sediment for soap production and the press cake as good organic fertilizer. The oil contains also an insecticide Supply period: all year long Castor oil Ricinus Communis Oily liquid with a yellowish color Product characteristics / specifications Chemical composition: Average composition in fatty acids Ricinoleic acid 90 % Oleic acid 3 to 4 % Linoleic acid 3 to 4 % Organoleptic analysis Colour Pale yellow Odour Specific Physico-chemical characteristics Density at 20°C 0.950 - 0.970 Solubility in ethanol Soluble Refractive index at 20°C 1.4750 - 1.4850 Acid index < 5.0 Iodine index 82 - 90 Peroxide value < 5.0 Percentage of unsaponifiables < 1 % Supply period: all year long Packing Oils packing: 5, 25 et 50 kg plastic containers 180 kg metal drums Deliveries from Lome port and Lome airport. |
